Indoor Lax Update 10/28

Here are a few important updates about indoor lacrosse.

JV @ Lanco

Our team has a bye the first week. That means there will be no game for us this Saturday. That’s good news, because our Fallball B Team has two games on Sunday.

The schedule for the entire Lanco season will be completed early next week. We will post the entire schedule in a post and on the google calendar on the schedule page on etownlax.com.

Many of you have not turned in your waiver for Lanco yet. For a look at the roster and a link to the waiver, check out this earlier message.

Varsity @ In the Net

In the Net asked us if we would be willing to being league play a week earlier than planned, and we agreed. That means that our first game will be on Saturday, November 14 (game times have not been published yet). Please plan on attending a practice to review team systems and scrimmage a bit at Rheems Nov. 8 from 1-3:30 p.m. Bring water and dress appropriately for the weather. This practice will be our one opportunity to get our systems organized for 10v10 play before the start of the indoor season.

Indoor Practice Schedule

The plan remains to have one evening practice each week in the high school gymnasiums. The winter schedule should be completed early next week, so we will post our practice schedule next week. This schedule will include dates from the beginning of November through the end of February.

Tues. 10/27 Fall Practice Canceled

Due to very wet field conditions and ongoing cold, wet weather, today’s (Tues. 10/27) fall practice is canceled.

Our last outdoor afterschool fall practice is on Thurs. 10/29 from 3-5p.m.

10/18 Fallball Games Canceled

Due to soggy and cold conditions, fallball games on 10/18 are canceled. If we have another cancellation week, games will be added 11/8.

Indoor Lacrosse – Varsity Information

The varsity-level league at In the Net begins November 21, with games on Saturdays at the facility in Palmyra. The schedule will likely be posted a week before the first game.

Indoor Lacrosse – JV Information

As In the Net was unable to book enough JV teams for a JV league this winter, we are moving our JV operations back to Lanco Fieldhouse.

Games will be 7v7, scheduled from noon to 9 p.m. on Saturdays, from Oct. 31 through Feb. 28. There may be up to two of our games scheduled on Sunday afternoons. There will be no games on Jan. 16 or Feb. 13. We will post the schedule as soon as Lanco posts it.

Each student who is playing on this team must complete the registration form/waiver and submit it to Coach Adams or Coach Heisey prior to the start of the first game. The waiver is available at http://lancofieldhouse.com/waiverform.pdf. When you click that link, there are four waivers on one printed page. Please complete just one of them and turn it in a.s.a.p.
