Etown Lacrosse Tailgate
MARK YOUR CALENDAR FOR A POST-GAME TAILGATE ON SATURDAY APRIL 10th!
We will be having a tailgate after the varsity game on Saturday, April 10, 2010, in the orange faculty parking lot at EAHS (small faculty lot behind Daubert Gymnasium).
The parking lot will be reserved for our team’s use from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Please park in this lot before the games. Tony Johndro is organizing the grill brigade. Please contact him if you are interested in offering your grill and grilling services.
Starting time should be around 3-3:30 p.m. (right after the varsity game). If the weather is inclement we will still have the “tailgate” inside in the High School cafeteria (enter and exit through bus lobby).
This event is for the high school varsity and jr. varsity players and their families.
Hamburgers/Hot Dogs will be provided. We are asking players/families to bring the following:
SENIORS & FRESHMAN: Desserts (10-12 servings each)
JUNIORS & SOPHOMORES: Side Dishes/Salads (fruit or vegetable- 10-12 servings each)
EVERYONE SHOULD BRING THE FOLLOWING:
CHAIRS
PLATES, CUPS AND UTENSILS FOR YOUR FAMILY
DRINKS TO SHARE (SODA, GATORADE.WATER,ICE TEA)

GS ppd. to 3/31, practice indoors 3/30
Due to weather and field conditions, the games against Garden Spot scheduled for Tuesday, March 30, are postponed to Wednesday, March 31.
Practice on Tuesday, March 30, will be VARSITY ONLY FROM 3-5 P.M. in DAUBERT GYM.
The bus to Garden Spot Wednesday will depart at 2:15 p.m. Students should arrive at school by 2 p.m. to help with equipment and loading the bus.
Pregame Report Time/Roster
Team members should report to Church Field as soon as possible after school Monday for the home game against Central Dauphin. Varsity players should meet at the sideline to start warming up at 3 p.m. Seniors should take care of getting water to the field.
JV players should be at the field by 3 p.m., as well, in sweat suits and jackets to stay warm and dry.
The following individuals should be suited up for the varsity game. All others should suit up for the JV game.

Practice 3/23 Indoors 6:20-9 p.m.
As the recent rain has drenched the lacrosse practice field, our activities today, 3/23 will be indoors in the evening. We have chalk talk from 6:20-6:50 and practice from 7-9 p.m. in the gyms. Please arrive on time to begin chalk talk at 6:20.
Pork BBQ Changed to Fri. 4/9
Due to a conflict with another sports program’s fund raiser, the 2010 Elizabethtown Lacrosse Pork BBQ Fund Raiser will be held Friday, April 9.
Tickets will be available for sale soon.
3/17 Scrimmage Postponed to 3/18
The scrimmage between Elizabethtown and Central Dauphin East scheduled for Wednesday, 3/17, has been postponed to Thursday, 3/18.
Bus time is still 2:30 p.m. on Thursday.
Practice will run in its usual time Wednesday.
Summer Lacrosse Opportunity
Students interested in having fun and improving their lacrosse skills this summer should join Meltdown Lancaster. Meltdown Lancaster has an “A” and “B” team for high school lacrosse players who want to step up their games and play with (and against) other good athletes.
This year’s player evaluation will be on Sunday, May 21, from 2-4 p.m. at Penn Manor’s Comet field turf. Please consider attending to play a bit, learn about this summer’s schedule and costs, and get involved in a great program.
Meltdown Lancaster is proudly directed by Coach Kenny Snyder of Penn Manor and Coach Jeremy Adams of Elizabethtown.
Additional Clothing Order Due 3/19
Anyone interested in purchasing additional clothing to support their favorite lacrosse program should check out this link to download the order form.
Order forms and checks (made out to “Big E Boosters”) are due by Friday 3/19. No extensions!
By the way, our Under Armour items from the previous order will be available soon, according to our contact at Elizabethtown Sporting Goods. As this new order includes no Under Armour items, it should take only 2-3 weeks to receive our items.
Practice Schedule Update 3/12 and 3/13
Due to the wet weather, our practice schedule Friday 3/12 and Saturday 3/13 will be amended to the following.
Friday: BOTH VARSITY AND JV 6 p.m. (sharp!) mandatory team meeting in Room 1630, indoor practice to follow 7-9 p.m.
Saturday: VARSITY ONLY, 9 a.m. (sharp!) mandatory varsity team meeting in Room 1630, indoor practice to follow until 11 a.m.
Stay tuned for an update about Monday’s practice. If the fields get soaked this weekend, we’ll likely be indoors again. Be prepared for either scenario.
Also, don’t forget about our team dinner Tuesday night. Parents arrive and set-up dinner at 5:30, followed by parents’ meeting with team Big E Booster Club reps at 5:45, followed by team dinner at 6:15.
