Fair Parking
A BIG THANK YOU to those parents and players who helped out at the last minute with fair parking on Saturday night!! Your support of E-town LAX & Big E Booster is greatly appreciated!
Fall Gathering on Sun. 9/5
As with the past two years, this year’s fall gathering is the kick-off event of the EAHS lacrosse off-season. It’s a chance to welcome new families to our lacrosse program family, and we’ll hold our fallball and indoor lacrosse sign-ups that evening.
The Dolans have graciously offered to host our gathering this year, at 5:30 p.m. Sunday, September 5. Their address is 1330 Hickory Run Drive, Elizabethtown. Should you wish to swim before the picnic, please arrive after 3 p.m.
For dinner, the Dolans are providing grilled items; the rest of us need to chip in the sides, drinks, and desserts to share.
Another e-mail/website post will follow with information about signing up for fallball and indoor lacrosse. Please bring your sign-up information to the gathering, or bring it to Coach Adams before 9/5.
Fair Parking Needed Sat. Night
Hi LAX Parents,
I received an email last evening from the Booster Club requesting Fair Parking help.
We are looking for 5 people to help during the 6:30pm to 10:00pm shift on Saturday night. Our group would meet at the main entrance of East High at 6:15…and please bring a flashlight.
If you can help, please call me at 361-0463, or 951-9541, or respond to this post. If you reply to this message, please provide a phone number.
Thank you in advance for your help!
Amy Engle
Etown Lax Update 8/13
Happy August from Etown Lacrosse. Here’s a quick update of what’s going on in the Elizabethtown Lacrosse world these days. Please have a look and reply to Coach Adams with any questions, concerns, or ideas.
- 3rd Annual Fall Gathering – early/mid September, usually a Sunday evening. This is when we hold sign-ups for fallball and indoor lacrosse, and it’s an opportunity to start the year by welcoming new students and their parents to our lacrosse family.
- Fallball league – we’ll be playing in and hosting the fallball league again. This is a fun opportunity to play a bit, to raise some funds to defray the cost of indoor lacrosse, and to support Rheems AA lacrosse (volunteer players and parents are needed to staff the games). Fallball will take place Sundays after 3 p.m. from Sept. 19 through Oct. 24 at Rheems Elementary. We may have some evening practices once per week to get in gear.
- Indoor lax @ In the Net – begins in early November, games on Saturdays. The plan is to enter two teams at In the Net in Palmyra, none at Lanco Fieldhouse. This assumes decent participation numbers. In the Net provides us a 10v10 full-field experience, so it’s an upgrade from Lanco.
- GEARS Fiddlesticks Lacrosse – HS laxers will be needed to volunteer to help coach and teach the game to kindergarten-through-third graders in the new GEARS Fiddlesticks Lacrosse program. This program will run on Wednesday evenings 6-7:30 p.m., September 15 through October 20 on the middle school lacrosse field.
- Girls Lacrosse through RAA – Rheems will be starting middle school and high school girls lacrosse teams at Lanco Fieldhouse this winter. Girls who sign up will begin practicing on Sunday evenings after boys’ fallball games end.
- Website additions – find information about Rheems Lacrosse at http://etownlax.com/rheemslax and GEARS Lacrosse at http://etownlax.com/gearslax.
If you are participating in a fall sport at EAHS, have a great season and please attend the fall gathering to sign up for indoor lacrosse and begin the year with the program. If you are new to the program and would like more clarification on any of these items, please do not hesitate to contact Coach Adams.
